Financial welfare, budgeting, saving and conscious spending. Professional welfare, CV development, job searching and college/university application and enrolment. Health and Wellbeing, accessing and registering with health services.

Youth Intervention

We have trained staff on hand to support not only service users with a criminal background but also service users that have been a victim of a criminal offence. Our officer provide regular sessions to work with these young people to provide them with support to assist with getting their lives back on track, they not only assess the YP to establish a tailored care plan but they also make recommendations to the service manager on how best to get the YP to feel safe and encouraged to gain the skills necessary to live independently with the community.

Employment/Education Support

Our staff work alongside all service users to support them with their next steps after finishing high school at 16. Our officer works together with YP’s to establish their short- and long-term aspirations and agree an educational/employment plan. They then work alongside service users to create/update their CV, and apply for further education, training or a form of employment.

Counselling Services

We take mental and health and well-being very seriously, we recognise that we are we are supporting vulnerable people from all different walks of life, and we want to work alongside them to get them both physically and mentally prepared for independent living. In additional efforts to support them we provide counselling services; we also understand that some people are not comfortable expressing their feelings, so we also explore other avenues for them to channel their energy such as psychotherapy, like dance/movement therapy, football and exercise like hourly gym sessions.

Accommodation

Our homes are well maintained, fully furnished and staffed 24 hours a day. We want our young people to feel at home and have provided them with everything they need to feel settled and comfortable. Our young people will have access to smart tv’s not only in the communal areas but also in their room, there is also a PlayStation in the communal area. Each room is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, allowing them to store groceries in either the communal fridge or in their room. We also have a large garden at their leisure. We not only want our young people to feel comfortable, but we also want them to get a sense of a family environment

We have staff on hand to support with housing related issues. We not only support our service users with their tenancies and ways of budgeting in preparation for bills and expenses, but when they turn 18, we have a housing support officer on hand to help them make the transition into independent living.
